How do I keep my residence private on public property tax records?
I am relocating and doing all I can to keep my physical address private. I know they will not accept a P.O. Box as a street address. I don’t want a certain person from my past find out where I live and he has used a private investigator in the past.
You can have it mailed to your PO Box, however to get the correct tax rates they need the physical address. All of your information is available free to anyone with a computer. Thanks for the answers, my score is too low to give thumbs up. Meeting with shelter this weekend. There is an address confidentiality program available, but looking for alternatives in case I am turned down.

As bizarre of a solution as this may be…I would contact a local women’s shelter. I would not do this over the phone – as they might think you are trying to find someone else… I would go there, tell them the whole story, and see what they can do and who they know. They know ALL sorts of secrets and tricks and are very helpful in helping one to “disappear”…They help many many women do this and they may have some ideas that I would never be able to come up with.
You may even be able to create an LLC. Although this would limit you from being able to deduct the interest from your mortgage, the public tax records etc I think would show the LLC name and not your name. The address would be public, but the ownership I assume would show up differently.

I don’t get it. Why can’t you have the tax assessor mail your tax bill to a P.O. box? That is quite common.

Create a video blog…instantly.
It’s public info. But some areas that have the info available on the computer have the ability to block Internet access to some info.
Good luck
