Getting out of debt
When I finished University, a lot of my friends were going traveling. Although I owed a lot of money already through the funding of my degree, I really didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity of seeing the world. In the end I decided that I would just get a new credit card, because I seemed to have built up a nice amount of decent credit whilst at University.
The traveling was great, and if anything, a little too great. We didn’t come back for over a year, and in that time I had maxed out the credit card that I promised myself I would only spend two thousand pounds on. I arrived home to many letters from the bank, and several from a couple of credit cards that I have. Whilst I had been away, not only had I racked up an extreme amount of debt, I had also neglected my existing ones.
Once I had assessed the whole situation, it was obvious that I would have to do something about my situation. I managed to get a job as soon as I got back, but it wasn’t enough to get me out of this trouble. I had a look online, and found a website that was offering credit card debt relief. This seemed like the sort of site for me! The more I read,. The clearer it became that I really needed to do this. I took up their offer of credit card consolidation straight away.
I have to say that in a few months I was feeling a lot calmer about the situation. I had already paid off a good chunk of the debt, and I didn’t have to worry about being chased for the money anymore. The free debt relief had been a great thing to go for and I was finally getting my problem sorted out.
